					Hi ,

does anyone know if there is such a thing as an ip-bus to 13 pin din adapter ?

Or is it even possible to connect the two ?

I`ve done some web searching and if they exist they seem to be very rare .

Thanks

Peter .

Hi Peter, what do you mean IP Bus? are you talking about the connectors used in networks which is an RJ 45 and din connectors as I know them are an audio plug which I have only ever seen up to 5 pin?? If you mean the Drange connector which would be 15 pin?? If both are correct yes you can get an adaptor. They are used alot in 2way radio base gear.

					Hi Tim ,

after some more searching i see that my question makes little sense being non specific .

I`ve a very limited knowledge of audio connecters ETC .

The car stereo is what the question was about for our LSE MA soft dash .

I`ve a pioneer head unit to replace the eurovox because it should run the amp and sub as the eurovox does .

As well as a single CD it can control a changer , it also does ipod USB etc .

Pioneer use ip-bus for the changer which is 12 pin and Eurovox ETC use 13 pin but the pioneer has an additional ground /12 volts lead .

Looking at the pinouts other than the extra grd/12v to the pioneer ( which the eurovox does within its 13 pins ) it should be possible to match the two .

So this was the reason for my question but now i think i`ll just get a pioneer stacker and fit the changer lead with the headunit .

I was hoping as with the ISO to the head unit there would also be an adapter for using the Eurovox ( actually i think it`s Sony ) stacker to the pioneer , which would only mean removing and replacing in the dash but after looking lots on the internet they don`t seem to exist .

Thanks
Peter.

last time i went through this i got given a lot of strange looks and the answers from the techs were to the effect of "Brand X head unit wont talk to Brand Y stacker, even if you did get the cables sorted".... all to do with how the stacker is controlled
