gme 4500 vs uniden 7750
hi all
i am in the market for a Din sized uhf.
i am looking at the gme 4500 and the uniden 7750 the uniden if $100 bucks cheaper (why), any one used both or have some pros and cons for each unit ??
the gme is made in australia but is it worth the extra coin ??

Haven't used either but in general GME are better made IMO
All my current radios 477 & 27 are GME and never had a problem

The Uniden is most probably made in China with cheap labour cost.
Performance is just about equal , if the tests I have seen a few years ago are still valid, and they should be seeing they are limited to 5Watts.
My Uniden UH11 is now about 19 years old and still chugging along, but others say unreliable!
I will probably buy another Uniden when mine dies. I also have a Uniden hand held about 8 years old with no problems.

I am thinking gme only for the fact its made in oz.
