Extracting contacts from the SIM card

I recently had a phone meltdown and lost all my contacts.I was sure I recently saved them to the SIM card.
I cannot find any contacts on the SIM,however great mate Derby Dan just rang and his name came up on the screen.Perhaps I still have my contact list but havent worked out how to import to the new tellingbone(I HAVE TRIED!!!!)
    Nokia C5 if that helps.
    Any help appreciated

No idea about a nokia C5 but I recently migrated all the contacts from one Nokia phone to another at work. You have to Select all the contacts in the SIM and then Copy them to the phone.

You won't find me on: faceplant; Scipe; Infragam; LumpedIn; ShapCnat or Twitting. I'm just not that interesting.

    I feel your pain.

Going through the same thing. I-Phone went on the fritz after an update, lost my contacts, I-tunes can't/won't restore them. None stored on the sim (and no apparent way to put them there).

    Technology, eh?

The iPhone will chew up your contacts and if you are lucky they will regurgitate them to you as you need them. If you are unlucky it will digest them and poop them into Steve Job's pocket never to be found again. And don't even think you are easily going to move 'Your' contacts to anything other then the next iPhone.

The C5 go into contacts > settings > Contacts to Display and select Sim Memory and they should appear.

    Hope that helps
