    Inclinometer Apps

    Hi All.
This is not GPS related, but thought this was the most appropriate place to post - please move if should be elsewhere.

Has anyone used an inclinometer app for iPhone, iPad or Android?
They are also referred to as clinometer, tilt meter, or land meters.

I am keen to hear if anyone has experience with them or can recommend a good one?

Example of what I am talking about here: https://play.google.com/store/apps/d...bGxvd29ybGQiXQ..

    Thanks in advance.
    Gav

    Thanks Ron.

I was more thinking for actual off road use to assit in avoiding tip overs etc.
Some come with alarms for 'critical' angles?
    Are they just a gimmick?

They used to be fitted to Pajero and other vehicles, mostly they were called wankometers.

Ron the swear filter isn't working? Can I star it out?

You won't find me on: faceplant; Scipe; Infragam; LumpedIn; ShapCnat or Twitting. I'm just not that interesting.

The Madman EMS has built in inclinometer and artificial horizon, no alarms.

I use an iPhone App called "Clinometer". Not for the car. I use it to get the camper level for a better sleep and so the sink drains properly. For that it is great.

That said; I have measured the slope of the terrain to confirm how steep it was AFTER I conquered it. :-)
