    Traxide SC-40 questions please

    Tim,

My disco has a Rotronics battery charger in it but apparently these are rubbish. Anyway I would rather use a Traxide one.

As it happens I have an SC-40 I bought ages back but never installed in the Defender. My intention for now is just to run two batteries under the bonnet - the fridge and whatever else off the 2nd battery), so I presume the SC-40 will do this just fine.

I can't find the instructions so any chance you have en electronic copy thereof I could get?

Any tips re installing the system in a D1?
It's not broken. It's "Carbon Neutral".

    Hi,
I ran a Rotronics for years, never any problems. I do think the Traxide has a better operation in allowing you to use more of the top bit of the cranking battery charge before it isolates the deep cycle battery.
    cheers

Hi Vlad, while I ceased production of the SC40 a few years ago, I still have all the installation instructions and if you PM me your e-mail address, I’ll send them to you in a PDF.
