Mobile external antenna
I stumbled on this the other day and wondered if it would work. Will plugging an external antenna into the audio jack increase your reception?

This is an antenna for getting FM radio type signal to your phone, most of the time the phones use the wire in your headphones as the antenna, I am not sure how they expect it to work for the GPS though. . .
also unless there is some trickery I am unaware of this will not boost your mobile signal.

Thanx Leroy, that was what I was thinking. Might buy one and see if it has some magic trickery inside.

It's not quite as cheap
But if you want to add an antenna to your mobile see these guys. Some phones you can just use a patch cable to attach to the antenna, others you need a cradle.
