Thread: Single CD Player (Visteon 6500 model)

Does anyone know if its possible to replace or repair the screen on one of these players. Mine is just green, It's not asking for the code, everything works but no display.
I would like to get it repaired so I can retain the steering wheel controls.

I strongly suspect it will be cheaper to get a second hand one from a wrecker rather than repairing. Subject to said wrecker supplying an unlock code with the unit of course

Steering wheel controls can be adapted to aftermarket units these days. There are a number of threads on this site on the topic and I'm planning to go that route in the fullness of time. I've been seduced by Bluetooth hands free phone and audio streaming
