fridge only works on 240v not on 12v

I have a 4 year old arb fridge that has worked a treat until today.

On 240v not a problem however when on 12v zip, zilch nadda. 8-(

I have checked the wiring and fuses and all okay. I have 12.4v to the plug end into the Arb however the voltage drops, measured at the merit plug, to 2.6v once connected.

Any ideas on the problem and or fix?

    Thanks.....

bad earth, burnt fuse connection or basically crappy wiring between the battery and the socket.

Thought the same guys so ran the fridge from a different battery and leads except for the dedicated Arb lead and still the same problem. The merit plug on the lead looks okay so the only non-fridge items not tested/ isolated is the sealed connector onto the fridge.

    Cheers....

Got myself a pair of small alligator clips to clip onto the pins on the fridge and ran a wire direct to the battery.

The fridge fired up, by process of elimination looks like the ARB fridge lead is the culprit. Wasn't able to test without the alligators, now part of the on-board toolkit.

    Dave, thanks for the offer.

feel free to bring the thing around, yours wont be the first ARB cheap crap jap plug I've over-re-engineered into something that most people look at and start wondering why you have jumper leads running the fridge.
