How long are you leaving it before checking the phonebook entries?
Just wondering if it has time to upload all the entries...
Unless the Nexus keeps the info in some weird format that the car cant recognise???
Got a 11MY D4 with the poverty pack entertainment unit, ie with the small black & white centre console display unit.
When I try to pair a Nexus 5 phone I get a 4 digit code number on the D4 screen and I type it into the Nexus phone. The D4 then shows a Nexus 5 phone is bonded and the Nexus 5 shows a Landrover is bonded.
Next, I get a message on the Nexus 5 phone that 'Landrover' wants to access its' phone book - to which I respond, 'OK'. And that's all there seems to be to it. However, when I try to view the Nexus 5 phone book entries on the D4 screen it shows nothing but a series of blank entries labelled 'My Number'.
Anyone else been able to get proper functionality from a Nexus 5 phone over Bluetooth on a D4 with the non touch screen unit. Am I doing some wrong or overlooking something?
Wife's Samsung S4 Mini works perfectly when paired using the same procedure as outlined above so I'm assuming there is nothing wrong with the D4.

Made some progress, but don't really understand it.
If you export the phone contacts list as a .vcf file and then immediately re-import it again then the D4 will now see the phone book and all other things like missed calls etc on pairing. Only problem is now the D4 shows every contact in the phone book twice even though the phone only shows a single contact entry. But maybe that is just a by-product of re importing the contacts file.
The export / import clue was in a very long thread about the mysteries of Nexus phones and phone book syncing with respect to just about every brand of car known to man.
Something seems to be screwy with Google phones. Problem first reported to Google back in 2012 with the Nexus 4 and still persists to this day with the Nexus 5. Given that Nexus phones are relatively popular I can't believe nobody else has experienced this.
