yes but in the case of betamax, it was the better product, just lost out to marketing and record/run time.
I was PC for years, got conned into going to Apple, on the basis that its all one click , 20 steps less and much much better.....About as truthful as a hiclone's performance ;)
Itunes is easy though, and seems good in my system with iMac, Ipod(s) Apple Airport express and Apple TV. (notice the commonality)
It would be nice if the Apple superdrive didnt have unresovable issues though
Apples OS is GUI over Unix, the interface is so simple my Luddite father mastered all sorts of tasks in 3 months that I hadn't been able to teach him in 2 years on PC.
The problem stems from humans nature to patterns, Windows force fed us to become trouble shooters and pseudo programmers... A device should not do that. That is the realm of enthusiasts.
For someone looking to Make a movie, create a photo dvd, browse the web, write an email, create a document/spreadsheet etc... it should be as simple as open the application and do what you want to do.
Apple and its software developers in general - get this pretty damn close...
I run all manner of OS, and the OSX trumps the rest hands down... Even better if you want to get enthusiastic and start playing!
you are probably right, but simple things like updates for add ons like adobe are more clicks and shuffling around than it was on even Vista..
Well I have to thanks everyone for your valuable input but it has been to no avail.
Nothing worked and the Iphone popped up a message that Itunes was not installed even though it will play the songs that are on the phone via Itunes. Itunes was reinstalled but it was still saying Itunes is not installed.
So I have given up, advised the owner to see an Apple savvy person and to get rid of the heap of crap and get an Android. Oh - while the Iphone owner is a member of the local Landrover Club but drives a Troopy and I have told him to get rid of that as well - but then I am always telling him to get rid of it and get a Landie.
I appreciate all the effort to help.
Cheers
Garry
So it beat you and that makes it piece of crap?! :D
It's actually Windows that's acting crap - it's not recognising installed software... A default has changed!
That's odd! If windows is recognisong the iPhone as another drive, iTunes should definitely be able to detect it.
Something's a-miss here...
Simply go to Apple - iTunes - Download iTunes Now and download itunes. Once installed plug the phone into the laptop and it will start to Sync. Click on the iphone top right corner, once in the phone section, click on the music tab, click on Sync music box and select which albums, songs etc you want to sync. For full isntructions go to Apple - Support - iPhone - Syncing
