Identify 7550 kcs and 8144 kcs HF frequencies

A friend has an old Codan set and while I have identified 8 of the 10 frequencies, I'm lost to the final two.

7550 kcs (7.550 MHz)
8144 kcs (8.144 MHz)

They are not within the old RFDS frequencies (MY2000) and are not within VKS737 and are not amateur bands. According to the ACMA frequency allocation chart they are located within the band allocated to fixed stations (but not shortwave broadcast).

Any ideas?

More than likely they are frequencies allocated to a mining company or trucking company etc. I have a couple of old codans 7727s that came from these sources in the norwest and territory and they have a couple of odd frequencies that were used solely by them. I seem to remember that they are in the higher end of the range.

That is my initial thought too, or even a Telstra private channel but would still be interested to find out who.

They're both DoD assignments:

Australian Communications and Media Authority: Register of Radiocommunication Licences

and

Australian Communications and Media Authority: Register of Radiocommunication Licences

They're licenced for a cool 10kW of power! The frequencies are slightly off as the ACMA assignments are then "dialed down/up" for single side band to put the carrier on frequency.

Thanks for that however the Licence 1138252 for the Lyndoch site seems too high.

The crystal is 7.550 MHz and the Lyndoch site is licenced 7.56 MHz (7557 through 7563. Which makes the Lindoch site 10 kcs too high.

How did you find the ACMA assignment search? Oops found it, its a mobile licence also DoD.
