Rural. Iphone 4/5 cradle, bluetooth, ext. antenna

My daughter travels in country areas where she lives and works. Work phone is iPhone 4, personal phone is iPhone 5. What suggestions do you have for hands free use of both phones and what if any is the benefit of having an external antenna connected to any cradle, and, can you split the feed from an antenna so that it supplies two cradles?
She has a sony head unit that has bluetooth, but even on bitumen, there is so much road noise transmitted, you can't really hear what she's saying. Vehicle is a Navarra D40.
She's been quoted something around $600 for a fitted system with ext. antenna, but it will only suit/fit either one of the phones.

You can get a mount that includes the charging and aerial parts, but has changeable cradles, I.e, you have an iPhone 4 cradle or an iPhone 5 cradle on it, one at a time, it's just the faceplate that changes.

If you want to know more I can find out what brand/model it is and get back to you

EDIT: yes you can split the antenna feed, but you lose amplitude of the signal, two cradles may also disagree when it comes to hands free...

Don't D40's have Bluetooth standard? My fathers does and it works fine...

    Cheers

Thanks Will, hers is an 07 model and no bluetooth. I fitted the sony bluetooth head unit, but as already mentioned is effectively useless.
Yes, I'd like to know what your cradle brand is.

    Hi Don

Just asked my cousin for you (it's in hi patrol), it is of the brand Bury, though looking on their website I'm not sure if they have an antenna extension available...

    Would be worth a look.

    Cheers

I bought a holder in Echuca that clamps onto the phone and has an external antenna. It was $50 and came with a windscreen stick on external antenna or you could attach an external if you wanted.

This is the unit, its the wholesalers site. WINHBOOST
