    Motorola Defy - Mobile

I have had a Motorola Defy Android mobile phone for a couple of years. It is not on a data plan so is used mainly as a mobile phone . I do connect to my house WiFi network when home though.

However for a while now I have had trouble saving pics when I take them. After I have switched the phone off and turned it back on all works fine and you can take a pic/video and it saves it to the SD card and all is well.

However after the phone has been on for about 24 hours the problems start. The phone will take the pic but it doesn't save it - no error messages but when you go to look at the pic on the phone it is not there. Thought it might have been the phone having trouble locating the new image but when I have the phone or sd card hooked up to my laptop the pic is not there.

Of I reboot the phone by turning on then all is well - I now do this before I know I am going to take pics but you cannot grab that spur of the moment pic.

    Any ideas?

    Cheers

Try a new memory card. I had my phone start corrupting photos recently. A new card and it hasn't done it since.

Try formatting the card with your phone or PC first before buying a new one, also when you know its having the problem go into the settings on your phone and change the target folder where your photos save, to the phone instead of SD card if it works then that will rule out the phone as being the problem, then x3 as above new card..

Thanks for all those comments - I have a couple of other SD cards so have formatted one and popped it in - is still working OK but has only been 12 hours.

    Will see what happens,

    Cheers
