I have a Pye Savoy Stereophone. A lovely piece of furniture. It has a turntable as well as an AM radio.
Well, sadly my prized piece has ceased to function.
The big question is where do I go to get it repaired?

None have any old Pyes though.
Oh, and as a side note, what needle suits a BSR UA70?
I'm thinking a ST-17.
Mick.
Check out the towns for an olde style wireless fixer.
We had an olde fella in Narrogin that was really good fixing olde skool stuff, even valve powered gear, its what he was trained on.
The modern world and olde age made him redundant unfortunately. If you dropped a half modern VCR or TV in he would tell you its too good to scrap, leave it with me and I will see if I can find one on the tip for parts. You would just write the thing off as scrap then get a call 6 months later saying your machine is ready to pick up
I had a great TV fixed for $50 cash and a HiFi VCR that cost me $1500 new saved for another 5 years worth of use for $75 using his recycled parts.
Sad to see a tradesman,no craftsman like that go.

I had a very special Proton Clock Radio, that no-one could fix,...Colin did.
Anyway, you could give him a call, He works for himself, so He's the guy that does thejob, and I think He's pretty good on Car Radios too.
Regards, Pickles.
