    Interesting problem with iphone

    I went to use my iphone yesterday and found the front screen lifted off the body. I took it to a repairer today and he looked and said I needed a new battery. The old battery had swollen up like a pillow and had pushed the screen off. Five minutes and $50 later all was fixed.

    Well, that's a new one on me. What model and how old.

    I got it from my daughter when she upgraded so age is unknown. Iphone 4

    A similar thing happened to my daughters mac book. the battery swelled and pushed the corner of the case open. The repair involved replacing the battery only.

    Same thing happened with my iPhone 5 in January. Took into the Apple Store and they replaced it with a new one of the same model for just over $100. Not bad given the old one was over 3 years old and had had a hard life.

    This one should see me through till the iPhone 8 comes out
