Disco 2 dvd player problems
Hi
I recently bought a 2002 discovery2 with the LR DVD entertainment system in it. It's the one with the flip down screen in the roof and the player mounted under the driver's seat above the CD stacker.
The problem I have is that I followed the handbook instructions and the player won't work.
The screen turns on and I can select AV1 & AV2 plus NTSC & PAL. SO I am assuming the screen is ok. But the player itself is another story. I can turn the power on and the lights on the fascia illuminate. I let me insert a DVD. But from there it went down hill. The disc won't play and it doesn't sound like it is spinning, and also it won't let me eject the disc. All I can think is that the disc is not inserted correctly. But other than that has anyone got any suggestions?
Also if I were to buy a new DVD player unit, would it plug into the same power source and AV input as the stock unit?

I assume it's the LR unit because it looks the same as the in car DVD player manual I got with all the user manuals

If it is a 2002 it probably has a Eurovox DVD in it.
If it does you can have the DVD repaired by Eurovox which has been taken over by another company but a google search will find it.
There is a charming lady tech there who offered to fix my single DVD player for $215 but I bought a new Pioneer.
If you want one to send down for repair I have a complete set minus the wiring that you can have including screen , headphones , remote, and DVD which also doesn't work.LOL
