If the fridge functions when connected to another socket, AND if (your power cord to the fridge is showing correct voltage (if I have understood what you have posted correctly) , then is it simply that the socket at the fridge is not being fully pushed in ??

Is there a fuse in the fridge that is dodgy ??

Just try to logically eliminate each component if it is OK as you try it.

You haven't got the wiring round the wrong way on the rear socket ? Try plugging something else in and see if it works .

No don’t!!!

If it’s the wrong way many devices will blow...

Use a multimeter.

Thanks for the replies.

I'll try the actual socket again with the multimeter to confirm the polarity is correct.

As I mentioned I have used the fridge in back previously with no issues, however I did have some major repairs carried out on the rear of the car after someone reversed into me (but that's another story). Maybe the smash repairer fiddled with something and wired it up incorrectly.

Plug it into the aux socket that works and unplug fridge end and probe there... (take note of polarity)
Now plug it into your new socket and repeat.

Safer than trying to get the meter probe down the centre without risking a short.

Hi Adam, how did you test the voltage at the socket?

Also as posted above, make sure the polarity is correct, as you posted, the repairer may have disconnected the socket and then reconnected it in reverse.
