    Old or new?

    Handheld or hidden?

I have a GME TX6150 5w that has been pretty much only used while touring with the van, ( and playing Pit Boss at the odd Off Road Race)
I have been reading this thread-

and am curious about the new bluetooth stuff.

Will I get 500bucks worth of improvements?

now if they could battery power a bluetooth handset and charge via the magnetic mount----

From memory - You essentially get a button to enable PTT from the steering wheel and hands (sort of) free talk with an external mic.

Not enough to justify a change IMO

I fitted an XRS in the 90 as we needed another unit, it’s good, works well and clear.

In the D4 I have 2x commercial GME units.

In the D2, I’ve just removed the now 21 year old GME 40 channel that’s still going strong.
