Like the others mentioned, i'd go back to JC and get a common cable with matching socket and change it.

    Search for IGLOO power cord.
My brother has an old IGLOO from the US he got nearly 30 years ago and had same problem(with the divided socket).

IIRC he found one on ebay for about $20ish or so, but I had a quick search and they're stupid expensive now ... more like $60 and mostly on Amazon.

I suspect that because they are an American product, they weren't so popular here, and hence limited availability .. ie. next to zero support for bits and pieces.

Here's and example on ebay(again from the US tho, hence the high price)

    IGLOO 12v power cord

I remember the brothers cable to be a figure 8 shape, not the chamferred edge type shown in the pic, but I suspect it would fit. His esky was the same design, where you flipped the cable to go from cool to heat.

At these prices tho, I reckon the other replies are right in that the cheapest option now would be to find an alternative socket-cable setup.
    Arthur.

Thanks Arthur - I think that was just what I was looking for, but also suspect you and others are right - another trip to JayCar.

Picture a bit hard to see, but they look like round pins ... made we wonder whether a standard yellow female bullet connector might fit into the pins? If so, you could just make a cable with standard crimpers.

Agree that if practical for you, replacement of the socket with Anderson powerpoles would be a better long term solution.
