    LVDS camera switch

Does anyone know of a commercial device that will switch between 2 LVDS cameras using a 12V supply? ICs are available but I don't fancy designing a pcb to make my own if a comercial switch is avaiable.

As in you’d like to switch between car reversing camera and caravan camera automatically? There is a solution already out there if that’s what you are after.

Manually would be my preference but I haven't seen anything suitable for my L405's digital camera that connects using a single coaxial cable. Switches for analogue video signals including UHD aren't suitable.

I could build one as ICs are available that are designed for switching multiple digital channels so I would use just 1 channel, but the design and build overhead isn't justified when there doesn't appear to be a market for such a switch and moving the connector for the camera module between the 2 camera connectors is quick.

Thanks but they don't work with LVDS.

This is the sort of thing that I put in my 2013 D4. I used slave for the car and master for the caravan. 2 to 1 Auto Camera Switch System - VHEDIA

Sorry OP misunderstood, if I understand correctly, you'd like two signal cables into one coax input.

I've lashed out and spent plenty of $$ on a one off to make my life easier before. Even better now I don't have to etch my own fine pitch PCBs (thanks China). What are the connectors like on that Coax, given LVDS is balanced. Surely they're not using a conventional core and shield.

The car uses Fakra connectors. I made-up Fakra to SMA patch leads that terminate under the driver's seat as does the van camera coax because I feel that SMA are more robust than Fakra. I fitted BNC for the van connection because of their bayonet clip connection and that they are more robust again than SMA.

The coax looks like RG174 but I used RG316, being better quality for the 10m under the van. The picture out the back of the van is as crisp as from the car's cameras. The surround view shows a very long car.
