    UHF Antenna on a Freebie

Any ideas WHERE could be a good place for an antenna?
At the moment I have no A-bar or anything like that... and I don't want to butcher up big holes in the panels

I had the same problem on the P38A so I made a bracket that bolts to the bonnet slam panel and pokes out of the grille:

Hey, thanks for the pic. Someone (at ARB?) suggested I use the driving lights mount to do just that.

Anyone tried and/or fitted an antenna to the spare wheel mount on the back door? Seems like there is enough space to run the antenna up next to the high-mount stop light...

    Cheers

You can get a mount from GME that is a boot/bonnet mount that uses grub screws. Cost about $40. No holes in the panels. I have 2 on my commodore

At the LR Expo, I had a l;ook at a P38A where the owner had made a bracket that goes under one of the mudguard fixing bolts and sticks out the side of th car.

It was just a flat bit of steel.
