This is true, Codan no longer support the 8XXX series sets, however the knowledge and software to maintain the sets are in the public domain so there is some support for the sets.

Spare parts are often cannibalized from other sets and it is almost impossible to get remote heads for the 8525a even second hand. The risk people now have is that the 85 series sets are now up to 20+ years old which is a long time for electronic equipment, which may have done thousands of Klms on corrugated roads.

I might put my 9323 and 8950 up for sale. I have yet to sell my old 7727 with the remote head. Anyone want a cheapie?

Didn't you just get the 9323?

I wonder if a 7727 is too recent for a 1968 S2B restoration (Mining exploration company was first owner)?

I bought the 9323 a year ago and have done nothing with it.
