Thread: Defender Radio CD

Hi, can anyone advise the manufacturer / retailer of the Radio / CD out of an 06 Defender. The brand name is Visteon - model 6500. This is the original Landrover radio. The front panel is dead, even though there is power to the correct points on the incoming connector on the rear of the radio.

An 06 Defender radio would still be under warranty. You should just get a new one from your dealer.

If not, then there are several people on this forum (I'm one) with new 07 Defender radios lying around. I'm not sure, but it's possible that the new radios will just plug in to where your old one is with just a couple of spare speaker outputs for the tweeters. There are probably even a few people with earlier model Defender radio units spare too.

I have looked all over mine and can't find any branding whatsoever - except for "Land Rover" that is.
