retro fit blue tooth in RRS?

im in the market for a TDV6 RRS (!!), nad would like blue tooth to talk on my mobile(iphone)

the factory cost would be $6250, since i believe it must include the sat nav system. i dont really want to pay that much, and dont need a sat nav in-built.

Does anyone know if i can get someone to fit just blue tooth for less money?

    cheers

There are several good mobile phone installers that can fit bluetooth to your car. They should even be able to connect it thru so that the radio auto mutes when you are on the phone.

I have moved my bluetooth car kit 3 times now; currently residing in the disco.

I just rang them up, they came to me & did it in the carpark at work. 30mins to take it out and about an hour to install it again.

Ring around, & you should be able to get the work done, supplied & fitted for under $500.

I fitted a Motorola IHF1000 blue tooth hands free to my disco some time ago. A very easy job too - much like installing a UHF. From memory the part was about $200. It shouldn't cost more than about $500 including labour etc. installed.

I was amused to find that the exact same module is supplied as a $800+ factory option on quite a few cars. They just use their own buttons and it all plugs straight into an iso socket on the module.
