Surely someone can help me with some advice / tips / pitfalls ?
Well I finally got a new UHF aerial and need to route the cable.
Previously it sent under the floor and up to the centre console.
I want to make a roof console however so what is the best way to route the cable
from the left hand bullbar mount, through to the left hand (pax side) A-Pillar
Ned to know best cable route / where any penetrations are.
Thanks
Cheers

Mine is routed through the firewall on the passenger side. There is a rubber grommet, you trim the top, push the cable through and dismantle half the dash to route it, then up the A pillar trim and into the roof.
Easier for you to come and look, than posting pics.

Haven't got time to come and look - have to have it in by next weekend and pretty busy in the interim !
Dismantle half the dash ? What the ?
oh and I figure its better to put it behind (rather than through) the grille. That way grille can be removed later if needed.

I drilled a small hole in the firewall ,inserted a grommet, threaded the cable through and up into the roof console AND THEN put on the plug. I'd put pictures here but don't have a digital camera.Still prefer film.and yes, used the A pillar. Hope this helps. Don
if youve got the aircon in the dash you can sneak it down alongside the dash and exit through the aircon piping grommets.
you can also go out through the heater fan box.

disaster after cable fully routed and dash etc reassembled (major PITA) the gromet pulled through the hole when a bit of pressure was applied - and pulled through in the direction to inside the dash where I can no longer get to it.
If it whack a heap of silastic around the cable where it goes through the hole will that be the next best thing ?
