I'm NOT starting from scratch again !
Depends on the size of your hole Vlad. (Don't be rude!) if it is only half inch then silicon would be ok but for larger I would consider getting another grommit and cutting it and slide over cable. Then a bit of silicon.

Obviously starting again would be good but I know where you coming from.

    Sorry mate

I didn't see this thread earlier, but you could have threaded it through the hole already in the bulkhead behind the speedo unit. The same one your radio aerial goes through. The pull the top off your dash, not hard and the display for the speedo. Then the plastic bit on the pillar parallel to where a snorkel goes on a 300Tdi and into the roof

Just read the first post again. There is a similar grommet on the passenger side you just won't have to worry about the speedo

Sorry to here of the trait of bloody grommets

Yeah its only a small hole so silastic will be the go I think.
    Thanks all.

I have a new radio earial to route also, so I'll see how easy (or otherwise) that is Jock

Here are the pics. To be honest I haven't actually tried threading it through here but I'm guessing it will work. I know it's possible to get an aerial from the bullbar to the space behind the speedo; I've done it. But then getting it from there to the roof I haven't tried sorry

I haven't ever used the passenger side hole either because I only just found it the other day.

The screws to take the top of the dash off (there may be more it was a while ago when I took it off)

The plastic A pillar bracket (very easy to take off)

Two of the four screws needed to be removed to get access to behind the speedo. The other two are in the same position on the other side

The two hatches through the bulkhead. All my wires are running through the drivers side one

Hope this works let me know how you go, I'll be doing the same sometime soon
