D3 radio disk error when ejecting

    Hi,

My D3 radio does not want to eject the CD I put in it. The CD plays fine, but when I press the eject button it comes up with 'disk error'.

Is there any way to force the disk out, other than using the eject button?

This is a common problem, either remove fuse of radio or much easier than trying to find fuse just remove pos. battery terminal for a short time and reconect, then the CD will reset and you can remove it.

    Cheers

    Hi Rob,
thanks for the suggestion. I tried both options, but it doesn't look like the radio resets itself (is it supposed to lose all preset stations?)
After disconnecting the red from the battery and reattaching, the same error is displayed when I try to eject the CD.

Is there any key-combination to reset the radio?

    Danny,
Sounds like its a biger problem, and a trip to dealer may be in order.
This used to happen to my D3, and the disconect , reset worked foe me.
Hope yours is a warrenty job because replacement may be expencive.
Mine also jamed on the slightest bump very annoying, then I got an Ipod and never used the CD again.
To add insult to injury I purchased a very moderatly priced radio CD unit for my Tojo 75, with AUX and USB ports sounds so good and no amount of vibration or bumps affects it, so if it costs too much to fix look for an alternitive.

    Cheers
Rob Ps. I dont have a D3 now and I dont miss all the problems I was haveing but miss the comfort and performance
