    my hf radio experience

On thye way to perth I realised my hf radio wasnt transmitting. With the help of a few people on this board and the ebayer in brissy I purchased my old codan from I made some contacts in perth. First up I purchased a second hand 9323 and fitted. Still not real happy with the unit I then purchased a second hand auto tune ariel. It is amazing the difference this set up has made, I can now listen to regular sked on the norwest of tassie whereas before It was a very rare thing to hear any one. So if you plan to buy I would now advise the auto tune is nearly a must have but if that was the difference between buying or not, I would still have a multi tap, jsut not as good.
    cheers

    Hi Weeds
Dave is such a nice and genunie guy to deal with, I thought I was in a jam and purchased a lesser set off him again on ebay, he cancelled my sale and told me to go to his contact in perth (the contact of his in perth, Graham from memory is the guy that makes the multi taps along with other hf ariels and sells them world wide, had a guided tour of the factory and seen them being made. They make a nice multi tap with a clear coat over it so you can see all the wiring, looks impressive)
    cheers
