Someone listens to AM radio?
I don't think mine has ever been tuned to an AM station in the nearly 8 years I've owned the car.
My P38 head unit (July 1999 build, Thor engine etc) has AM incremental steps of 10KHz instead of 9KHz.
This I understand is the US version, but the vehicle was an "Australian" build spec (as best I can determine from a VIN search on the Oct2006 Microcat database).
I have examined it "minutely" and there appears to be no switch or other method for changing to a 9KHz step... FM stepping is OK.
I'm not particularly interested in an aftermarket unit, the standard unit is just fine given the ambient noise levels ... would welcome advice as to how to get a 9 KHz step change
thanks

I'd check mine for you Allan, but my display is almost unreadable.

Hi Hoges
Try this link

There a note at the end about the 9Hz/10Hz set up.
I've seen a more detailed description of the set up functions for the alpine unit somewhere else on the web but can't find it.
I don't know if it works - My RR doesn't have a head unit.
