they arent too bad ime
G'day everyone!
GME at the moment are offering a TX3220 UHF radio with a bonus GME AE4012k2 4.5dB antenna. Does anybody know if this antenna is any good for general use around town and in hilly terrain? (I've attached a photo of the antenna). Does anybody have any opinions on the radio itself?
Thank you in advance!

my BIL has one and he loves it nice choice mate

From the pic it's an elevated feed ground independent design which is what is recommended. Means you can mount it on a bullbar or anywhere really.
Should be OK.
Where did you see the offer for the bonus antenna?

I saw it on the homepage of the GME website.

Yer mate they are fairly decent , they are very similar to the AE4018k1 , difference being , one had a fibreglass wipp and the other stainless , both 4.5dp gain , A good alround antena for vehicles, these bonus packs are good value , only thing is that the tx3220 is a very entry level UHF . and have seen a few that tend to drop of frequency quite a bit and require retweaking on a Marconi ect, Hope this helps![]()
