Just resync with the computer and it should restore it all.
Did you do the update on a different computer to the one you normally resync the iPod with?
Tried to do an up date on my ipod from the Apple site as my new car stereo wont read it, thinking this could maybe fix the problem, and yep, have now lost all my music from the ipod.
Any suggestions??

Just tried to download the itunes update from the apple site aswell, and it wouldnt even open the download page.
I think the update to the ipod worked though as I saw it installing onto the ipod

Sounds like it's sync'd with the new computer but there's no library in iTunes yet. If that is the case, tell iTunes to Add to library and select the location of the iTunes files from your old computer.

I found that if I did a transfer from my old computer to new by sharing files, then it appeared that the new library was on the new computer but only the titles were.
I found I could transfer the actual song files by doing a backup to disc or dvd of Itunes on the old computer then a restore to the new computer.
This is only possible with the second or third last itunes update.
