I've just put my UHF on the transmission tunnel, although it's quite a small unit.

For my P38A, I have a remote head unit. The head is taped onto the dash and the main unit is in the rear under a panel.
No, that's the main unit in the back. I can't find the head pic on my PC but it is on the RR.NET site:

g'day i have a slim line uhf and it fits neatly in the slot above the sun visor in my disco 1 which is out of sight and out of the way.The only thing which could be a problem maybe is it can get very hot from transmitted heat from the roof. The hand piece clips on the console next to it good luck steve b.
Hi Stephen,
Sorry for the delay in posting pics...this is what I did. Crappy pics and dominant flash makes the setup look pretty average but it looks good, works well and navigator can access them oh and backseat passengers should they need to.

I fitted mine overhead as well, I removed the plastic sunvisor /map pocket holder an glued an aluminium backing plate to the inside and used large pop rivets to secure the brackets. The wiring runs along the top of the windscreen to the left front pillar. I drilled a new hole for the aerial and power supply in the firewall.I used grommets to make it look tidy and an inline fuse for the power supply direct to the battery.
Regards
Maggsie
