How to downgrade your iPhone 3G from IOS4

Thought Id share this with all the people that are suffering running IOS4 on their iPhone 3G...

Despite Apple saying once you have IOS4 you cant go back to IOS3.1.3 (the last software that worked properly for 3G), it can - after a week or so of thinking about doing it, I finally got around to it.

How To Downgrade your iPhone 3G to iOS 3.1.3 | Mac|Life

You need to download a little app and the 3.1.3 firmware. All virus free and an time very well spent.

Hadn't actually moved to iOS4.0 myself (years mucking around with the PSP has taught me not to jump on the bandwagon, the minute a new firmware is released), but pages like these are invaluable to those of us who like to tinker.

    Thanks for the link.

I brought an iphone 3gs recently for the wife and it came with iso4 preloaded on it and there is no way that i can tell the difference between operating speeds of it and my iphone 4. So i wonder if they upgraded the hardware inside the later model 3g's and didn't tell anyone.

Maybe you got 4.1? Not sure - but these issues might be sorted with this release.

The latest crapple release fixed the problems with the older 3G iphones.

It's now as slow as it was before the iOS4 updates.
