I am receiving emails supposedly sent from my email address. These are spam and I would like to know what is going on. They list my email address as the sender. Jim

Its possible for spammers to use a false email address over the top of a real address, if your using a mail client (not web-based) try right clicking it and adding the contact to find out the real email address. If it is in fact your real address then I cannot help you except to advise changing password and security questions etc, sorry. But if it is a fake email address like mentioned above then you can feel at ease.
is nothing unusual in this day and age...

Thanks all. I am usually fussy with keeping unwanted rubbish out of my computer but somehow some got past my defenses. Malwarebytes cleaned these out so now only time will tell. Jim

It is a very simple matter for spammers to fake the from address in order to try and get past your spam filter.
I would run a full virus scan though, just in case there is something on your computer which is sending out the mail, which is also possible.
If your using windows mail just add a rule
Delete it from the server before they get to you
