The only reason i unlocked mine was to enable the Firewall
By default it can not be enabled
So its worth telling here
:script add name addroot command "user add name guru password guru role root descr ROOT" press enter
:script run name addroot pars "" press enter
:saveall press enter
Telnet this script to your router one line at a time (only the red text ) pressing enter after each line
The Guru name can be changed to what ever you want the user name and pass to be
Just type cmd in the run box press enter then type telnet press enter
then type open (your router ip) and press enter
Use your user name and pass you have for your router to log in
Then just enter the script one line at a time
Once done log into your router with your browser using new name and pass
Bingo done
If you choose to you can delete the original account via telnet
Just log in with your new user and pass type menu press enter use the arrow keys to select users press enter
use the arrow keys to select delete press enter
press enter once and type the user you want to remove
Use the Tab key to select ok and press enter its now gone and you only have you new user name
The router has a built in TECH account i have not deleted this account but it cant be used once the firewall is enabled
All can undone by pressing the reset button on your router

Hi Steve 35,
Just wondering if there may be any features in "Tech" admin mode, to allow me to control the amount of data that others in my house use.
I have read about Gargoyle but I don't know if this router could allow a firmware upgrade (in Tech admin mode), or whether Gargoyle would work on this router anyway.
Any advice appreciated.
