You can't go past utorrent for the download software.

demonoid.me for finding the files. Great for movies, music and software but hard to get an account.

    Extratorrent.com is good for movies.

Eztv.it is great for tv shows.

Finalgear.com for all of your top gear needs.

I could be wrong but I thought Frostwire was in the same camp as Limewire.

If so, you're best off avoiding it altogether.

uTorrent seems to be popular, but it is also recommended you run in conjunction with a thing called Peer Block.

    Hey mate,
I'm on a mac too and use a combination of methods.

First, for music I use a web browser called firefox with the "download helper" plugin. I head over to www.hypem.com, hit play on a song and then a little icon which downloads it to my desktop.

For larger files - movies, tv shows and entire albums.
I use an application called transmission download that.
Then google whatever you're after followed by the word "torrent"
Download the small torrent file and double click it. The big file will then start downloading.

I know it sounds like alot but once it's set up it's pretty efficient.

Agree with Sully on utorrent. Hard to go past as a torrent client and pretty solid on all the os platforms.
