unless I can access the raid setup/bios it wont start,,
Why do you need to access the Raid configuration?
What's your mainboard model?
Unless you're using raid just turn off, should be able to access bios with "delete" or "f1"
its a gigabyte ga-x38-ds5
it says it cant find an OS,,
Even if you do run a raid array it should need detected automatically.
You should only need to change the boot order in bios.
Also check your sata mode. You will have ahci or legacy. (maybe native and compatibility)
This needs to be set the same as it was when you installed your os.
Here's the bios link btw - http://www.gigabyte.com/products/pro...?pid=2672#bios
it had changed from raid to ahci
and altered the boot order
will run some more tests
Thanks for your help everyone:clap2:
this is the reason,,
