    New phone

    Mrs Pedro came home today with a new Samsung Galaxy S GT-19000T.

    (apparently thats a phone,,,)

    quite funny watching her with a laptop in one hand and her new phone in the other

    Just got home from pricing the same phone.

    How can there be a difference of $300 between the highest & lowest price to buy it outright????

    Gonna get one just as soon as I can... Beats iWhatever hands down.

    No doubt the Android system is far better than previous Samsung phones particularly in regard to the calendar which was simplistic at best.

    Phone is thin but quite long. How did it seem in the hand?

    yep, better than an iphone 3gs but still a bit behind an iphone 4 in a few aspects but they are lighter but a little longer.

    they go well till you need to do a hard reset, many have a bug that requires a bit of a work around.

    some also have flaky wifi issues.

    and something to do with bottom buttons i dont have details on as yet.

    biggest issue will be viruses in the long term unless they control the app market like apple do

    competition is definitely catching up but new iphone due in a few months so it will be back to them being in catchup mode

    on my second iphone4, first one died at 11 months with the microphone only working when in speaker phone mode, so was replaced with new one under warranty, thankfully.
