    Typequick used to be popular.
I don't know if it still is popular but it's still around:

Have a look at this one:

Learning to type to the beat of music sounds like a good idea.

Several years ago, "learn to type" programs apparently were the most commonly "bought but not used" or "used briefly and then discarded" program.

I think the problem was that becoming a touch typist requires the sort of regular practice that most casual users are just not prepared to put in. Reports I read suggested that success depended more on the hours you were prepared to put into regular practice than the choice of program.

Don't expect it to be a "silver bullet" solution.

If you think two finger typing is slow then spare a thought for the way I had to type for a couple of months earlier this year with just one finger on my left hand following surgery on my right shoulder.

Tried to get me boys to use TypingMaster Pro a few years ago. Don't know what it's like now or whether you can still use it for free.

    Hi,
I bought a cheap version of typequick through the Uni for a few $$ after deciding that I really needed to get speed and accuracy levels up with that of a competent (not expert) typist.
Working through from a s d f etc in about 30 lessons at about 30 minutes a day I eventually could just touch type as fast as I could two-finger it.
At times during the lessons my wrists would ache like crazy, like the tendons were stressed out from the unusual excercise and I needed a wrist support in the form of a roll of foam rubber to rest on.
I persevered, forcing my self to keep going with the correct fingers and not looking at the key board and after a while started seeing improvements to the point where I now hardly ever need to look at the key board except for unusual punctuation or symbols.
I even managed the numeric pad for numbers when I was doing a lot of spread sheet work, but that skill has atrophied some what now.
I would recommend doing a course, make 30 minutes a day for practice. If it is for work, you can justify the time as self improvement or learning required skills.
    cheers

Post a thread in the Soapbox that you're really passionate about.

And only post using all of your fingers.

Should take about three weeks of angry posting.
