    maybe in the old days old mate... but hasnt been for a long time.

    this tuesday for instance microsoft users get their regular fix of updates.

    IE security hole sewn up for Patch Tuesday ? The Register


    apple dont tell you till your about to install them but they do tell you what they are about to inflict on you if you want to read it. been that way for a few years now.

    The headline article you quoted was about malware on the Linux kernel development system. I do not recall any such admission ever being made by either Apple or Microsoft about infections on their development systems, and your current quotes refer to a somewhat different situation. I would be very surprised if it has never happened.

    Hacker - he/she who ****es me off by illegally and secretively gaining access to private networks and information for no apparent gain other than to act like a total cock.
