    Ctrl key hijacked

Just recently my control key has been misbehaving, when pressed it pops up the start button and goes to help.

I've probably switched on some shortcut somewhere, but don't know where or when . No doubt it will turn out something simple - but frustrating.

It's bloody annoying for copy/paste etc where I nearly always use ctrl/c/x/v etc.

    Any ideas (btw Win7 x64)

Bushie, is it a laptop you're using or desktop?

I've only got Win7 on one of the desktops at the mo, so I'll go and start that one up and have a gander.

    It's a desktop.

Beginning to think it's software (windows) related as it'll be fine for a while and then start doing it. Happens with both keys but they actually do different things, left pops up start menu then straight to windows help and support, right one cascades (I thinks that's the best description) any open windows and desktops.

Actually right one invokes Aero Flip 3D

Are you confident that your keyboard is all good, no sticky keys, do you have another one to test with?

I note that the Win7 keyboard shortcut for the Start Menu is Ctrl+Esc, that's why I'm asking.
