Extracting RAVE PDF's for iPhone use

    Hi all,

I want to put the RAVE D2 workshop manual on my iPhone so it is with me on my travels.

My problem is i cannot find them in the contents of the rave application.

Could somebody please point me in the right direction?

    Thanks,
    Matt

OK so I've answered my own question and found the pdf.

Now i have put the PDF in my Dropbox folder and have tried to open it on my iPhone.

It will only open as a single blank page.

Can anyone help with the file formatting?

    Thanks

The RAVE pdfs are encrypted and require the version of Acrobat and encryption certificate included on the RAVE disc to be read.

I recall seeing a post on AULRO from that someone was selling a version of RAVE which had this limitation removed. Can't help with a link unfortunately.

    cheers
    Paul

I have a straight version of RAVE V20 that was prepared by Detroit_Perogi of the RR.NET forum. However, it is for NAS vehicles.

It's unfortunate that the NAS version doesn't have the TD5 information on it.

I have successfully uncrypted the Rave.
    I DO NOT SELL THEM.
If a forum member wants one then PM me and I will provide a private link to download the image file.
It will run normally on windows pc, with Mac and linux you simple find the file I have made Titled Linux/Mac start. click on that and any version of acrobat reader will open it. I will work with native mac and linux PDF readers, but better with acrobat reader.

Members must be long standing members of AULRO, I don't want people downloading and selling on ebay like so many others.
