Thread: most fragmented drive

    most fragmented drive

    got an xp system in today that was running 'slowly"

    did the usual cleanup things i do then went to do a defragment as the last step and to my delight it came up as 87% fragmented...

    thats the most i recall seeing over the years.....

    Please explain this fragmentation? I drive a Mac and it's not in our vocabulary.

    The newer apple os's do it (defrag) automatically

    Only cause you belive the Spin

    Hfs fragments

    Prosoft do a good utility to keep it sorted amongst other things
