    Internode Drama

    Internode:

Well they have confirmed that its all A OK and that I can get the naked ADSL plan thingy hooked up.

I’m on holidays from next week so the booking for the techs to come out on the 24th was very suitable and meant I’d have the internet available for most of my holidays !

Then on Monday I got an SMS to say they’ve rebooked me for the 30th .

Not happy Jan as it means I’ll have a week with no internet, I have to rearrange so travel plans as I have to be there so they can access etc,

What really annoys me is they claim they have no control over the instals as its all done by 3rd party techs who dictate to THEM when they’ll do it.

Worse, they can’t even guarantee me that this new scheduled date will be correct. They say it is confirmed “as much as we can”. Which transpires to mean the same as it was confirmed for the 24th…

It's not broken. It's "Carbon Neutral".

Funnily enough a lot of people have recommended Internode to me as a great provider with good customer service.

To their credit when I rang I got throuh quickly and spoke to an Australian, in English ! Very nice.

On the other hand, these instal dramas.

    Sigh.

I had sucess with Internode for a few years then got stuck in the middle of an Internode/Telstra tussle when moving house .

I didn't lose out in the end but Internode lost me over it.

If Internodes process for NDSL is anything like iiNets then it will be almost definitely Telstra's WCTA department rescheduling the ULL cut over

I believe most of the time the reason for this is a service covered by CSG(Phone fault or New connection) is requested and the tech is reallocated to that bumping your ull app to the back of the queue

Internode were sold to iinet. That's the end of their good service. It happened to Westnet.

In the case of Internode it's alot different from the Westnet take over, Simon Hacket the "owner" of Internode stayed on as MD of the brand and took 7.5% of iiNet as part of the deal

The former owners of WN seemed to be looking for an out If it wasn't sold to iiNet it would have been sold to someone else TPG most likely and considering what happened when TPG took over soul it's probably a good thing iiNet got there first
