Go sky watch iPad app
For anyone that has a telescope and has struggled to find planets to view check out goskywatch for iPad. The wife bought me a scope for Xmas and I've been using this app to find planets, I gotta say it's bloody brilliant. You simply select the plant u wish to look at and the app will display the horizon and show u exactly where it is in the sky. I used it early this morning to locate and view Saturn and it was stunning, I woke up the family and we were all gobsmacked looking at it.
After many years of looking at bugger all (with my old telescope) this app has really taken all the guess work out of trying to find the little buggers.
