I use Mailwasher to vet my emails and it flags it as spam and marks it for deletion.
Beware : if you see an email sitting in your in-tray saying:
"FEDEX Express Service - You need to get a parcel number 67688"
don't click on it to open the email.
Doing so may release a virus into your PC.
Any Fedex email titled similarly to the above should be treated suspiciously.
The real FEDEX in the USA has posted a public warning regarding this, on it's own website.

For ANY link contained in an email, you hover your cursor over the link and see it's address either at the bottom of your browser or by right clicking on it, properties. Anything sus I just report as spam or just delete it.
Another reason why Macs are good for novice user (as well as expereinced). I regularly get these dodgy emails which have exe extensions. Watch for this as per bee utey's advice. It's only a matter of time before Mac is in the firing line though.
