    Mac's

    Hi all,
I bought a Mac last November and put it away after doing all the things you need to do to get it up and running to your specs(username, isp, email addresses, etc, etc)
Last nite I went to log on and it didnt recognize any of the passwords I put into it.

Is there anyway of getting into the blasted machine...........

    cheers

    yep

boot off the dvd by inserting dvd and holding down the c key while booting

when it eventually boots you can click on utilities in the task bar and then you can change the password

you will need to delete the default keyring once you get it back up and going otherwise some programs wont access their saved passwords.

a google search will tell you how to do that...

    Should it have one?

    Cheers

Is it a MacBook Air by any chance? If so, they didnt come with the DVD, but a quick google will soon have you creating a USB boot disk - you need an empty 8Gb USB drive and you'll also need to download Lion from the App Store if you havent got the 3.8Gb installation file at hand. Assuming you still have your appleid details it wont cost you / you wont need to buy it again.

    Jon
