I just purchased a copy of the rave cd, and upon delivery I find i can't use it on my iMac. I previously had a downloaded copy for the disco which worked fine but thought I would support the forum and now can't get it to work.

Doh, just downloaded a copy of the 'Rave CD' only to discover its PC only... anyone know if there's a Mac version of it? Or if not where I can get something that will give me workshop style info on my D90? As I said in my opening post; I haven't done any work on newer Defenders and have no resources yet...

X 2. I've just spent a few hours trying to open the PDF's on an iPad. It appears that the pdf's are encrypted to only open using acrobat 4 on the cd. Printing the PDF using a PDF printer doesn't work either.

Hmm looks like a trip to the shop may be in order. There are a couple of other things there as well that have grabbed my eye.
My Cds are many years old circa 2005-6. Seem to remember getting them as a freeby with some parts I bought back then, So I am not surprised that they don't work.
A couple of questions tho:
1. Can I open the pdf's on the shop Cd's using the latest Adobe reader X?
2. Which disc should I get for the 2003 D2a and is it the full manual, including the TD5 engine. (ie not the NAS manual which only has the V8)
Cheers

Hi all
Im sure this has been asked before but I need to know will the Rave cd work with a MacBook laptop?? If not is there a version that will. Need to know before I sell the Hp pc type laptop.
No, our house is fully mac after my dell (not so old) died and I can not use rave on a mac. Have to take the disc to work to read on the one PC there (work is otherwise fully mac) so suggest that you keep your old HP PC.
I've had to buy an old notebook specifically to do odd jobs and RAVE is one of them. Unless you need to sell the HP you're best off keeping it.
HI
I thought that might be the case, Thanks for the replies, Will keep the PC, its not that old but I would get nothing for it second hand. It can sit on the bench while doing repairs and I wont have to worry about oil on the keyboard
