    Skype and RTX DUALphone 4088.

    Hi,
    Any one using this system?

I'm thinking it will go nicely in the truck rather than mucking about with the laptop.

It plugs a base station into an Ethernet connection on the broadband modem, and has a cordless phone associated with this.

I run my Bigpond Wireless Broadband directly off 12V rather than through an inverter with the supplied 12V DC adaptor, and am curious as to whether I can do the same with the phone's base station.

i.e. If you have one, can you please check the DC voltage out put indicated on the 240V wall plug.

Much appreciated if some one can do this for me.

    cheers

Had a look at it on the website and no joy there with voltages

My thought is that you might be better off looking at a skype only phone as there are features such as PSTN that you would never use when on the road

Most run off USB power (5 volt) but there are others that can directly connect to your wireless router

this is just an example and I dont endourse this product but have a look at this video for an idea
