Just had one of these delivered today:
Dell UltraSharp U2713HM 27" Monitor with LED Details



27" of high value monitorness (I paid the 30% off price in a recent sale). I had been looking at the U2711H for a while then this one came out slightly cheaper with slightly different specs to the earlier model. From the reviews, only professionals dealing with photoshop day in day out will notice the difference (while probably using monitors at 5x the cost of this one), while home dabblers wont notice much difference at all. I fall in the second category.

This is the first part of a new PC build which is long overdue. Will be used for occasionally working from home by both me and the missus (excel sheets are awesome on a screen this size), more touching up of my photos and the occasional bit of gaming thrown in.

First impressions are its streets ahead of my old Samsung 22" and I much prefer the single large screen to two small screens. Colours seem much nice, and the 2560x1440 resolution makes everything seem so sharp.

Just had to brag somewhere about it. Now I'm itching to upgrade the rest of the PC but the SWMBO was only willing to contribute to the new screen so it will have to wait till next year like the 101
